Alex, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, focuses her practice in the areas of business, corporate and tax law, including the representation of clients before regulatory bodies.

While in law school, Alex was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the William C. Keady Chapter of the American Inns of Court, Phi Kappa Phi and the Mississippi Law Journal. She was the recipient of the outstanding student award in seven courses, including labor law, income taxation of individuals, employment discrimination and employee benefits. In addition, Alex was the recipient of numerous other awards, including the W. Kerby Bowling, Sr. Labor Law Award, the Phi Delta Phi Outstanding Senior Law Student Award, and the Dean Robert J. Farley Award (given to the person with the highest grade point average in each graduating class). Alex served a prosecutorial externship in the Fourth Circuit Court District during the summer of 2006, and also served as a research assistant to several professors. She is the author of ÒEliminating Injustice: Revising MississippiÕs Statutory Rape Laws,Ó published in 76 Mississippi Law Journal 1067 (2007). She is a member of the American Bar Association, The Mississippi Bar, and the Washington County Young Lawyers Association.

Alex is married to Todd Oglesby, and they live in Chatham, Mississippi. She is fluent in French and proficient in Spanish. Alex is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and is a member of the Highland Club.
